The contactless linear position transducer SLT190 has been conceived keeping in mind the 21st century application. The specially designed and developed transducer provides a reliable, fit-and-forget position sensing (up to 500mm) coupled with 100V/m EMC immunity all within a compact transducer size to withstand the extreme operating environments. The device withstands -40 to +150°C operating temperatures and is tested to withstand up-to 10,000g shocks.

The provision of separate signal conditioning electronics (EICT or EICTM) housed in rugged IP66 or IP68 rated enclosures helps to minimize the size of the transducer and the impact of shock on the overall system. It is possible to locate the electronics module up to 10m away from the transducer which keeps the device at a safe distance from any hostile conditions (vibration, mechanical impact, temperature) during operation. This results in a more reliable transducer solution with ease of installation and flexibility in the choice of available outputs.
